Vet own-brand medicines: CMA disclosure rules
When prescribing an own-brand medicine, tell the owner it is own-brand and that the equivalent product is available elsewhere.
Applies to: practices that sell own-brand medicines.
What the Order requires
- Said out loud by the vet, with the reference product named in writing.
- The label and invoice state the reference product is available from third parties.
How to fix it
- Add the disclosure to labels, invoices and the consult script.
